WOYWW? 221

Well I managed to miss last week completely as a rush of life took over and my creative desk seemed a million miles away. Did I miss much??

Here is my desk this week, sorry not much snooping research for you, just me showing off a new toy!

Yes, it was a naughty purchase, but boy can it do some clever stuff and I have barely got started with it. The main reason excuse for my purchase is to make paper cut style wedding invitations for my Daughter. So far I have designed some birth samplers, wedding samplers, cards, boxes and even cut out a Pepper Pig as requested by my Grandson.

Here is a sneaky peek at one of the samplers which I can show in full next week.

So if you are wondering what WOYWW is all about follow the link to Stamping Ground where you will be able to visit desks from all around the world.

Have a great week and I hope to be a bit better at visiting you all this week.

Silhouette Cameo

I am so excited to have a shiny new toy to play with, a Cameo cutting machine. I am able to design on the computer or import my artwork and get the machine to cut it all out.

Here is a basic card from the image library while I get to grips with the design program!

Glass Bunting....

Finally a chance to share with you a picture of my glass bunting produced on a workshop with Helen Rose Glass. It was certainly a nerve wracking experience cutting all the bits of glass but several cut fingers later I had the hang of it! All the coloured parts of the design were hand cut and fused to the clear glass by firing in the kiln.

Coiled Pot....

A coiled pot made from torn fabric strips wrapped around a wadding core. I think I need to make a snake to charm from this pot!

Decoupage Christmas

It is far too soon for me to make Christmas Cards but I found this decoupage sheet hidden in the drawer so thought I would have a go.

What's on your workdesk Wednesday? 219

It is actually quite scary now how another week has gone and I didn't even get the chance to visit anybody!

Well here is my desk this week in all it's glory......

I have a little sewing project on the go to make a pin cushion out of some dyed blanket and some die cut blanket flowers.

Here is the finished project.....

It looks a little like a pork pie, I know!

If you are wondering why I am posting a picture of my messy desk, pop over to Stamping Ground, where you can find out how to visit desks form all around the world.

A butterfly in the garden.

Finally a bit more sensible, a lovely butterfly in the garden. This butterfly is made from leaf shapes, it is surprising how different they can be not coloured green.

Or a Dog hiding in the garden?

Yes, I know I am getting a bit carried away here but I am having fun......

Friday, 9 August 2013

Or a little Owl!

So if I can make a birdie then with a little trimming I should be able to do an Owl......

A birdie of course!

More from my latest collection, there had to be a birdie........

What's on your workdesk Wednesday? 218

Hello everyone.

Back again to a desk hopping Wednesday after a lovely Holiday, now all I need to do is find some creative time!

I took on holiday a box full of stamped images from the JoFy collections by Paper Artsy. I was preparing them for use to decorate my printers tray. I coloured them all with water soluble pencils and cut them out (most of this was done in the car on the long journey!)

As it turned out they were not right for the project I had originally planned so I set about seeing what designs I could come up with. You can see some of them in the previous two posts and there will be some more over the next few days.

So here is my desk.......

And some of the images

So if you want to join in with the desk hopping fun pop over to Stamping Ground and prepare to take a journey.

Mighty Mouse!

Still on a mission to create as many cards as possible with my stamped images from the JoFy Collections by Paper Artsy. Meet Mighty Mouse!

Funky flowers...

I have been stamping, painting and cutting out these flowers for most of my holiday in preparation for a larger project, but have now decided they are not right for what I had in mind. So now I have a stock of these wonderful flowers from the JoFy range which I am going to experiment with and try and come up with some card designs.

To begin with, breaking myself in gently!

Back again...

Back again after a short break, full of ideas and keen to get back to my desk. Just to keep you going I am sharing some of the drawings my Grandson did while we were on holiday. He has drawn whenever he can on napkins and biscuit boxes, anything he could find. There is a lesson to learn here about how we surround ourselves with art materials and then say we don't have time to draw!
