Here is one of a series of dresses made for Ava.
The fabric in this one belonged to a dear friend and has sentimental value.

Crow
Making a crow to become part of a fancy dress outfit. The body and wings were free machined adding lace and ribbon for texture. Feathers were attached to the wing section.

Crochet dress!
Well this crochet I made for myself, it started out as a top for work but grew when I blocked it. So it now reaches my knees and I am waiting for winter to wear it with boots!

Last one
Something slightly different here. Hand drawn, free machined seed heads and leaves with bird appliqué. Next time I would use a heavier stabiliser as the machining distorts the fabric.

Another lampshade..
This lampshade is similar to a design I did on a workshop with Mandy Pattullo. So here are my scrappy little Hares , perfect for a nursery.

Lampshade
Inspired by a television programme featuring Marna Lunt teaching lampshade making I had a go at my own. I bought lampshades in charity shops and drew patterns for then. I them worked on my fabric collages from my fabric stash. Finishing off with hand and machine embroidery. The finished collages were hand stitched to the existing lampshade. Hard on your fingers!!
