What's on your workdesk Wednesday? 202

Here we are back round to Wednesday again and sharing the mess creativity on our desks. So here is a picture of my desk today. WOYWW is a chance to have a nosey inside the workrooms of crafters all over the world, so if you haven't tried it click on the icon on the sidebar and take a journey!!

I am experimenting with two of the lovely new stamp sets from Creative Expressions by Sam Poole. They are quirky houses and flowers which have an Art Journal style to them. I think they will work well with the vibrant prints I made with the Gelli plate. I will show you more of these designs in the next few days. In the background you can see some twinkling H20's which I found hiding in the drawer and I plan to add them to some of the prints.

Here are some of the prints with washes of colour added, the colour pulls the prints together. I have painted half of the purple one in the foreground so you can see the before and after.

Here are two prints which used some Tim Holtz die cuts to create the design on the plate.

  2. Don't you just love H2O's? I have loads and they give such a lovely finish to a project but unfortunately, Promarkers get used more often at the moment because they are so much quicker:(

    Thanks for visiting my desk.

    Happy WOYWW. Susi #59

  12. What lovely pages, seeing more and more of the Gelli plate things, would I like it??? More research needed. I like what I see done with it, BUT, not sure if I can do that. I like an amount of consistency, I don't like surprises.
Love the stamps - they are new to me - more research! (Maybe some spending too)
    Thanks for your visit today

  28. Hello Karen! Thank you for the lovely comment you left on my blog - I love the book too!

What great results you've had with your gelli-plate printing. I've seen a few posts on people's blogs, about this gelli plate, but I think your prints are the best I've seen so far. Love the idea of adding some paint, to intensify the effects. And the birdie cut-out mask is sweet.
I haven't got any of the H2O paints, but I do have some sparkly water-colours, which give a lovely effect when used on some of my projects. There's something about a little bit of sparkly stuff...

Thanks for visiting me at my blog - so glad I returned the "favour"! Lizzie #140
