What's on your workdesk Wednesday? 257

Still away from my desk and sewing this week making Retro Aprons.

My new favourite foot is this edge stitch foot, It enables me to run the metal guide along the edge of the fabric and make lovely neat topstitching. Why have I never used this foot before?!

Here is one of the aprons lovingly staged for a photo shoot in the garden.....

That's all from me but do take a visit to Stamping Ground where you can visit many more workspaces filled with lovely creations.

  2. Well....I never knew such a foot existed! Wonder if I've got one in my machine somewhere!! It does give a really neat finish, love it. Your pinny is so pretty, love the blues, it really picks out the colour in the floral. Very clever :-)

  4. That is a beautiful apron. I'm glad to see they're coming back in style, since they remind me of my mother's aprons growing up. Happy WOYWW! #52

  6. So pretty - I've been wanting to make aprons with some of my fabric stash, for ages, but not got round to it. Here's hoping you've given me the kick I needed! I must look at the other feet for my machine, too - just never enough crafting time, eh?! Have a great week, Chris # 47

    1. I am gradually working through the feet. Have been sewing for as long as can remember and the only other foot used is the zipper foot normally!

  8. WOW Karen I love your apron and I'd say that's the best foot ever. You have a lovely bright cheery spot there to work and may have inspired me to get mine out permanently. Yes my quilt cover would make a lovely apron - the border is ticking - perfect. Happy WOYWW, Cheers and have a great week RobynO#68

  9. I don't know, why haven't you ever used that foot before? Oh, wait, it's not a joke is it? Sorry, it's late and I'm getting a bit spacey. The aprons look fabulous. I wouldn't want to wear one and risk getting it dirty.

    Happy WOYWW,

  11. oh what a cool tool, ( makes me wonder if I have one of those, I never change the foot on mine because, I mostly only run paper through the machine anymore) :) the Aprons look so pretty fluttering on the line. ~Stacy #93
