What's on your workdesk Wednesday?275

I have not been around to visit for a while since Wedding fever took over here. Many of you have followed my journey as we combined all our creative expertise to prepare for the day. I will not be able to visit you this week but thought you might like to see a few pictures of the things we made.

We made all the invitations, Order of Service, Place names, Menus and Table plan. I made hair slides for the Bridesmaids, Bride and myself. We painted signs and a screen for the photo booth, collected and created props. We made a hoopla and bean bag toss game for the gardens.

I knitted a wrap for my outfit!

I helped my daughter make the cake (picture to follow)

On the day before the wedding we gathered flowers from friends gardens and the wholesaler and created button holes, bouquets and table decorations with the help of friends. We wanted them to look like they were bunches of garden flowers and they worked a treat.

Then I just had to coordinate the day!

a rare picture of me as I gave my daughter away

It was simply the best day ever!

So this explains why I have been absent for a while and will be for a while longer as now off to somewhere hot to sit on the beach. I thought you would like to see and if I can get wifi I may manage to visit some of you later in the week.

If you are new to WOYWW pop over to Stamping Ground to visit a few more lovely creative spaces.

  1. Blown away by those hair slides you made! Utterly gorgeous.
Love your outfit, such a pretty dress and so fitting for the job you performed. The bridesmaids looked wonder and the bride ... well ... radiant and so beautiful.
Hope you are soaking up the sun and chilling after all the hard work. But it certainly paid off.
    Hugs and Best Wishes

  3. How wonderful! It really was a wedding that was made with love. The hair slide were beautiful and I love natural flowers rather than overly arranged. The colour of the bridesmaids dresses was gorgeous, how elegant. And of course, the bride and groom (and you!) looked fab! Thanks for sharing :-)
