Whats on your work desk Wednesday 478

Back on the Wednesday desk tour hosted by Julia at Stamping Ground.

So here is my desk this week.....

It doesn't look much different to last week as I have been continuing to make some summer clothes and have made myself two pairs of wide legged trousers.

You can see to the right some more notebooks having pretty covers glues to them and one of my many jars of bits. Everything has a use eventually!

I had some questions about this sewing machine it is one that is designed to cope with thicker fabrics and it certainly feels like it has a stronger motor. This is a basic machine but I think they do a fancier version. It seems to be my workhorse at the moment.

I am still stitchinh for the exhibition so most things are still secret, but here are some cards and folios I will have for sale.

hope to get round to see you all later

Have a great Wednesday!

  2. Your cards and folios are so pretty - good luck with the sale at the exhibition .
I still use mum's old sewing machine (50+ years) as opposed to my all singing/dancing one - love my mum's work horse!

  5. Gorgeous stitching. Good to have a robust sewing machine that you can trust ... sounds like quite a bit of successful dressmaking (something I used to do a lot of years ago). Thanks for sharing. Hope you have a good day - Hazel, WOYWW #15 x

  6. Your textile pieces are beautiful, so pretty and delicate. I like the idea of having a heavy duty machine like that, so useful for altering demin and thicker fabrics.
Hope you have a great week,

  10. I love the idea of having a sewing machine... I am useless though ( and have no space for it) I would only use it for craft projects though now "proper" sewing, lol! Hope your trousers are a success. Helen #1

  13. I do love the detail you put into your work, it's so pretty! I'm not one for doing layered pieces, it tends to be all about the fabric for me so I really admire those crafters who do! I have a basic machine too - a Janome which was suitable for college use, so it would stand up to the amount I use it for!

  17. Hi Karen. Those stitched pieces are beautiful - well done. Glad the material from last week is now trousers. I used to make all of John's as he was so short you simple couldn't just chop a bit off the commercial ones!
I'm hoping to like Mull, too. I know DD2 loves it up there, so it should be a great time. Hoping to get out to Staffa, too - but I think the puffins will have left - boohoo
    Take care. God bless.
