What's on your workdesk Wednesday 199

I have been meaning to take part in this brilliant blog hop for sometime with Julia over at Stamping Ground. I love looking around at all the different blogs and the things everyone is making. If you haven't heard of WOYWW click on the button in the sidebar or here and prepare to go on a journey.

Today on my desk I have little clay embellishments, which I made some time ago but never got around to painting. I think this is going to take all day but the SUN just showed up in my workroom so that's where I am going to stay!

I made these from a block of air drying clay and some push molds designed for cake decorating, a block of clay goes a very long way.

Now I am painting with acrylic paints and experimenting with mica powders and waxes to bring out the detail and to make them look aged. I hope by the end to have a lovely collection of Vintage looking embellishments. Pop back and visit again to see if you can spot them on my cards, canvasses and scrapbook pages!

  2. Oh Karen. These are lovely! I've never had much luck with the air-dry clay but I think using the Polymer clay would be something I could play with.

Added note - your link on Julia's WOYWW list goes back to Julia's blog... not yours. I found you by going through Julia's comments. I left Julia a comment to so maybe between the two of you it can be fixed and more people will stop in :-) Creative Blessings! Kelly #158

  7. How pretty! I've never seen these done before. I'm more of a drawer/painter, so I'm constantly learning new things from those of you who do other crafty things!
Have a great WOYWW and thanks for stopping by my blog!
